"Better" is an adjective, modifying the linking verb "felt." "Much" is an adverb, modifying the adjective "better."

Posted: 5/27/09 at 9:38pmgot some bad news this afternoon...one of my former students passed away this weekend. She had lukemia, she was 12 years old. Me and the teacher she has now were tutoring her at home this year(she was in remission and the cancer surfaced again this October) then she was hospitalized last month and was waiting for a bone marrow transplant, she somehow contracted chicken pox and died. She was a sweet and wonderful child and I will miss her...I had her my first year of teaching, she was one of my first students. It is just so sad
