Does anyone subscribe to any theatre magazines? I would love to, but don't know of many. Only Show People. What are the good ones?

Show people is the only one I know of, but I also subscribe to a lot of NY magazines that have theatre sections like Time Out NY

I get the Playbill one. It's essentially the same stuff that's in actual playbill you get at a show, so if you go to the theatre often, it's not really worth it.

i was actually wondering about that. I was going to subscribe to Playbill magazine, but then it occured to me that it might just be the same articles as are in theatre playbills. And since I go more than once a month, not really worth it.

I just remembered that i got this issue of another magazine about theatre, but I'm notally blanking on what it's called. Someone happened to give me an issue last year i think it was. Ashley Judd on the cover when Cat on tin roof (or whatever it was called) was out. When i get home, I'll see if I still have it and tell you the name of the magazine

I do get the theatermania online newsletter and know of backstage... Any other ones that are actually subscription magazines such as showpeople, with articles and, I guess, info on all things theatre? Thanks!

Priest- is there really a sondheim review?

It's the only magazine that I always read cover-to-cover.

BroadwayWorld.com is all I need...

"The Spectacle has, indeed, an emotional attraction of its own, but, of all the parts, it is the least artistic, and connected least with the art of poetry. For the power of Tragedy, we may be sure, is felt even apart from representation and actors. Besides, the production of spectacular effects depends more on the art of the stage machinist than on that of the poet."

Anyone else miss InTheater?

I get Playbill as well. By the time it gets to me, I've already read the news online. Still, it's fun to get theatre stuff in the mail...
