You're probably a lot better off buying a really good foundation, blush, eye & lip liner, and powder (e.g. Mac cosmetics). I bought one of those kits when I first started acting and never touched 80% of it. Even the 20% I did use was very low quality.
Just get quality basics and buy specialty makeup when you need it.
