I decided to get tickets for a show on thursday August 5th. I am going to be in town and thursday seemed like a good day to see the show, my family agreed and I was placed in charge of calling ticketmaster. I told the lady I wanted tickets for thurday august 5th and we decided upon tickets, it wasn't until after the whole transaction that i realized she had gotten me tickets for friday the 6th. This is ok, as I will still be in town friday but I thought thursday would be a better day to see the show b/c we might be able to get better tickets and I would have a better chance at the stage door...although I can quite honestly say i have never waited ata a stage door before so I don't know if this is true. Anyway, the point of this is:would it be better to see the show on thursday? is it worth calling back ticketmaster and exchanging the tickets? ok someone take pity on me and help because now i am fretting....

They probably won't exchange your tickets, first of all. Broadway tickets are not returnable or exchangable. But, as to your question, it shouldn't matter which night you go. If you're happy with the seats you got for the Friday performance then I would just wait the extra night. You can always still see a show Thursday night; TKTS often has great deals during the week. The stage door for most hit shows is busy every night, it doesn't really matter what day of the week it is.

Have fun!

Go to the stage door on Thursday, you can get there earlier and have a better vantage point than those who actually saw the show that night. Then Friday you can enjoy the show without having to worry about rushing to the stage door as soon as the curtain comes down. BTW, what show is it?

PEACE.
