Who else thinks a "tick, tick, BOOM!" revival would be amazing on broadway? And if not, tell me why. I would love to see the show put back into the limelight again for a bit. Oh, and to keep up with the trite categorization, who would you put into the parts (if you care to answer that part).

Posted: 8/19/04 at 2:42pmI'd love to see it on Broadway, but I doubt the production would be very profitable. Updated On: 8/19/04 at 02:42 PM

Posted: 8/19/04 at 2:43pmWhat about off-Broadway? I meant either/or.

Posted: 8/19/04 at 2:43pmIt's too small a show to ever be hugely successful on broadway. We've seen a number of these shows in past years. Little Shop of Horrors, Taboo...Although Boom! is a pretty decent show, I highly doubt it would ever last in a large Broadway style venue. And it closed fairly recently if I remember correctly---2001/2002? Updated On: 8/19/04 at 02:43 PM

Off-Broadway would be nice, but even there I'm uncertain of how successful it would be.
And I, too, wish it would tour.

Posted: 8/19/04 at 2:51pmHaha, I live in North Jersey, very close to NYC, and went in yesterday and saw "Forbidden Broadway" yesterday (which was amazing). Oh, and Michael West was phenomenal. But yeah, I wouldn't mind it being off-broadway or in any theater in the city.

Posted: 8/19/04 at 3:33pmttB has toured extensively though... had long runs in Boston and Japan if I can remember correctly with Joey McIntyre as Jonathon Larson. I saw the tour when it came to Baltimore with Christian Campbell, Nicole Ruth Snelson (original Winnie in AGYG w/Bernadette) and Wilson Cruz. I think that tour has long been over though.

I found the score to "Tick, Tick, Boom" wonderful and the book VERY blah. I was boosted by excellent performances by a teriffic cast. It may work for regional productions, but really it's not all that good as a whole.
Just my opinion, I may be wrong.
