Did they bring back the play-only window? They didn't seem to have it at the new TKTS in Times Square when I was last there and I missed it...
There are two of them at Times Square now.
^^Yay! Of course, with all the good plays out now, two definitely makes sense.
I was there last week at about 7:00, and queued up to the play only window to buy a ticket to see God of Carnage. There was a small line, and a slightly larger one at the regular windows.
Because there were more windows open on the regular line, I'd have been better off lining up there and buying my ticket for God of Carnage. There were about 5 people ahead of me on the play only line, and only one window was open. The regular line had about 6 windows going, and was moving much more efficiently.
So, the play only line, particularly closer to curtain, when the crowds have left, is not always the fastest line for plays.
The play line is much shorter, but moves much slower. The regular line is much longer, but moves much faster. Depending on how long the play only line is, you're better off in the regular line.
