I am going to NYC in December and am trying to decide what shows to see. We are for sure seeing Waitress, but want to see more. Any suggestions?? Looking for a fun show.

For fun, I would go to Holiday Inn or Something Rotten. Outside of that, I would also recommend Falsettos and The Color Purple.

Great Comet was amazing.

If you want to go to "church" and I mean that in the best of ways - do not miss "the Color Purple".  Cynthia Erivo simply should not be missed in this role.  The simple staging is really effective as it lets the music and the story shine. 

If you go to kinky boots, you will come out of the theatre with a skip in your step, and a song in your heart. 

If you are just game for some mind candy, and were a fan of Gloria Estefan, On Your Feet is a fun night at the theatre

Color Purple really isn't the show to pick if you want something fun and lighthearted.

If you want a fun show, as in you want to laugh, Something Rotten is the way to go. Aladdin is also fun, as is School of Rock.

If you just want something light, you could go with On Your Feet or Matilda. Or Wicked even. (What show have you seen before?).

My friend who just saw Great Comet came out of that saying "that was fun", so it might also fit your bill.
