does anyone know of a used CD store in manhattan with theater CDs?

Try Academy Book and record on 18th Street. When in NYC I always stop by there and find interesting stuff cheap.

Cast albums are NOT "soundtracks."
Live theatre does not use a "soundtrack." If it did, it wouldn't be live theatre!

I host a weekly one-hour radio program featuring cast album selections as well as songs by cabaret, jazz and theatre artists. The program, FRONT ROW CENTRE is heard Sundays 9 to 10 am and also Saturdays from 8 to 9 am (eastern times) on www.proudfm.com

It's between 6th and 5th, but closer to 5th. They have a very nice classical section as well, and some good prices.

There's also a store on the corner of 53rd (or 52nd or 54th, don't remember exactly) and 9th that sells used CD's that has a cast recording section.

I'm thinking of going down there. Do they have any hard to find items? What did you end up getting and how much did you pay for them? I'm curious as to what kind of cheap CDs they offer, as opposed to used CDs on amazon.

I don't know if they are there anymore, but I used to get great deals at this little outdoor CD store in Union Square Park...I think they might only be open in the summer time though.

I went to the one on 53rd and 9th. Sorry, but it's kinda lame. They have very few musicals and the ones they had were like, JCS, Millie & Wicked. Otherwise, they were all soundtracks.

Question: Will Esparza win for The Homecoming? BobbyBubby: I hope so. If only for the mental health of many people on this board.
