I am writing for those interested and for those with children,
that the von Trapp Children, great-grandchildren of the real
Captain von Trapp will be performing all of the selections from the "Sound of Music" with the Edison Symphony at the State Theatre, New Brunswick , NJ on February 27th, 2:00 p.m. They will be in full costume. Tickets are $20. 25, 30 and 35.

They also performed last summer at the Halsted Market Days, a huge gay street festival very similar to Pride Days in Manhattan.

I saw the Van Trapp Children perform a couple months ago and they were terrific! I will be sure to attend this concert, thanks for telling us!

I saw a story on them on Dateline or one of those latenight news magazines... they were playing a banquet hall for about 100 people. Good, talented kids. They all just seemed like they didn't want to be Kurt and Liesel and Marta and...

Greatly looking forward to this performance. Saw them in a previous rendition and was quite impressed. Definitely would recommend seeing this show.

my friend just recently saw them in concert and loved them so much. She highly recommends them aswell. Just incase you all are interested. Attend the show and find out for yourself. I'll be there for sure.

I saw the Von Trapp children perform with The Atlanta Symphony Orchestra in a Christmas Concert in December. 4 children are part of the group - 3 girls and 1 boy. The oldest girl is 16, I think, and the youngest(the boy) is 10. They sing very well - and don't seem to be 'affected' by the limelight. They dressed in traditional Austrian costumes which happened to be family heirlooms. The children connected well with the audience and told stories about "The Sound of Music" and the flight of the 'real' Von Trapps - focusing on how some actual events were changed for the movie/play. Their 3 CDs were offered for sale after the concert and the Von Trapp Children were happy to autograph them for buyers. Updated On: 1/12/05 at 01:24 PM

Do they really do benefit concerts? because I know a few "venues" that would love to host them...Do you know anything about req. for them? fees? anything?

After seeing the Von Trapp Children, I became a fan to the music. I love it, it is great! Does anyone know when the next show is? I was thinking of going to it, sounds great, and I was hoping to bring my family with me!
