i loved zanna. it had great music, a great cast, and a great story too. i wish it were still around.

Really enjoyed it! I've read on the boards here the various opinions, but it's just a fun show that didn't take itself too seriously.

I went three times. I thought it was a cute show but I disagreed with the ending.
I did like the music and the writers are very nice.

Any show with cute Jai is an excellent show.

Alas will, I can only say that I love the idea, since I haven't seen it, nor have I gotten my freaking cast album that has been on back order for a month now...

I thought it was a very cute show. Fun and upbeat. I thought the ending was a little bit off as well- didnt seem to coincide with the message.

I thought the show was adorable. And the actors had really amazing voices, especially Anika Larsen.

I hated it. It was embarassing. What a waste of twenty dollars.

I'm with the Mistress. Seeing lovable kids turn into homophobic assholes left a very sour taste in my mouth.
Annika Larsen really stood out - she was terrific. But Jai's syrupy Zanna made my teeth ache.

I think the ending should have been that they remained with and married the gay or lesbian partner. It would have made more of a stand.
I told that to Tim.

ha ha stephen, i ordered it and it came at the end of the same week from barnes and noble.
corine, i think the ending was interesting and liked the twist. I think others may not like it because it doesn't wind up with gay being good enough. It also showed the compasion that the homosexual had for the ones who were being discriminated upon.

I asked Robb(Tank) about that once online and he said that the pint of the end was everyone finds their true love, and everyone is with who they want to be with, and Tank loved Zanna all along, so yeah. *Shrug*

The ending's twist brings us into our reality--which is a great juxtaposition with the fairy tale of the rest of the musical.

Not sure about Anika. I have been keeping a look out at Robb's site, but it is currently down while they switch servers

As to the ending, i thought it was a great idea with an uneven execution. i think it could work even better with some adjustment. And the casting was superb...as for it being worth a sawbuck (that's what $20 is, right?), the discussion fodder alone is worth that.

I am curious about the show....haven't heard any of the music....but I can't stand Jai on Queer Eye....is it just me, or does his role on that show seem so pointless and cheesy? ok sorta off topic....but that's what's keeping me away from the cast recording.
