Wha-huh?!? When was Purim Cabaret and how did I miss it? Where were the posts on here and All that Chat about it? Coo, I'm a tad sad and upset right now.

I was there...
my review was short and not so interesting, but here ya go:
"Purim was incredible! What a great show! Rai and I were in front row, center, which was amazing...
Judy Gold perfomed, she's a comedian and she is just HYSTERICAL! She worked with Seth on The Rosie O'Donnell Show.
Mary bond Davis~ absolutely incredible, woman didn't even need a microphone, she was fantastic!
Lets see, who else was there... John Tracey Egan, Joey Mazzarino, Ana Gasteyer... "The Mentalist", Ehud Segev bent a spoon with Rai's name on it with his mind, i'm telling you, i was in the front row, and i can't see any other way that he could have done it, he was incredible!
Saycon was there, and she sang "The Wizard and I", and was fantastic, as always. That girl is going places, she has such a ridiculous voice!
And now to Johnny... he sang "Taylor" (which I LOVE), and he looked soooo great, he was all red from LA, he looked awesome, he cut his hair a little shorter and it's adorable.
So at the very end, Kerry Butler and Johnny sang "Suddenly Seymour". It was just incredible. Absolutely fantastic. Johnny told me afterwards that it was really emotional for him and Kerry because they have been friends for 15 years and that was the first time they've sang together onstage. He was touching her hair, and they just really got into it, it was an incredible performance, they were amazing together. "
MissNY was there too, she can probably give ya'll a better review!
It's all yours, sweetie!

It's very easy to get confused here...Seth was involved in two different Purim performances. One was somewhere midtown on Sunday night, and the other was uptown at the JCC on Monday night.
The review earlier in this thread was regarding the first one from Sunday night. The "Purim Cabaret" that the thread-starter is actually referring to, I beleive, is the one that was held at the JCC on Monday night. It was:
"Enjoy a wild and wonderful night as some of NY's leading Broadway and Off-Broadway artists give a new life to the old tradition of the Purimspiel. Seth Rudetsky, a former writer for the Rosie O'Donnell show and the start and creator of the Off-Broadway smash hit Life According to Seth, assembles some of his favorite artist pals and puts together a musical night of Purim hilarity."
It included approximately 12 of Seth's backup folks from the Hair concert, as well as Orfeh, Eden Espinosa, Lea DeLaria, Ana Gasteyer, Tituss Burgess, Annie Golden, and I believe a few others that I'm unfortunately forgetting. It was fun and done in Seth's trademarked style!! Can't go wrong with that!
