why does everyone love WICKED?

I saw this show opening week. I fell for all they hype and wound up falling asleep during the first act. The staging was beautiful, but except for maybe two songs, the score was just plain awful. An overproduced boring experience. If it's touring in your city don't waste your money.

I agree about the score. I haven't seen it, but I was excited to listen to the CD for the first time. It was a huge disappointment. I just didn't find the story or lyrics intelligent.
