Spontaneous though isn't it!? I sort of knew it ran for 2 years - gorgeous though. Perhaps some producer will bring it to London. We can only hope. I hope you get our 'Sunday in the Park with George' - great production!

There was a thread about how much marijuana affects the voice?
SH*T, I knew I should have gone to bed later.
I don't think the pot thread got more than two replies before it disappeared.
I think it was awesome of Matt to admit he was wrong. Yay, Matt.

I also think it's brave of him not to have run screaming, and instead to keep trying...without losing his temper. I think we should give him credit for that.
Also mind you hes new and doesnt know any better.
Just because you're new to posting doesn't mean you have to be new to lurking.
Okay, so the boy doesn't know a lot about theatre. What is he, like 12? But how long can people continue hounding on his ignorance for? Seriously, ha ha, so funny....it's done.
I don' think wicked and Rent are killing youth. Those two shows actually got me More intrested in other broadway shows. Last year we took a trip to New York. We were only suppose to go to Toronto but my teacher really wanted to see Wicked. I was dead set against Wicked from the start, mainly because I hated The Wizard of Oz movie. Turns out I really enjoyed it...Fell in love with all the characters along with most of the music. I figured that if something I was so against at the begining ended up being so great there must be other musicals that are equally great. So I started looking up other musicals. I came across RENT (before I even knew they were making the movie). Turns out I loved its storyline and everything along with it. After Rent I broadened my horizons to other musicals. Now, I enjoy alot of other musicals. Granted Rent may still be my favorite, but RENT and WICKED have both opened my eyes to the world of musical theatre.

Rent isn't really killing youth, niether is wicked..
I love broadway, i am young, i have seen over 15 plays so i am truley a broadway lover. My little sister who is 9 has seen wicked twice ( i had gone with her) she takes alot of intrest,
Rent i think shouldn't be seen to a kid untill they are about 12- or 11 unless they understands what is happening in the play.
Wicked is a show all kids will love, and it won't kill them to see it.
High School musical can be a way to get into theater if they like the singing and danceing, not so much the story. Definitly not if they will like theater just because the movie is about a high school putting on a musical.
as previously touched upon, rent and wicked are like gateway drugs to get us hooked on the more serious bout of theatre, at least it was that way for me... i'm in the process though.
I heard rent and wicked hide under your bed and while your sleeping they eat you alive.
SweetQ, I don't want to be confused with this dumb ass.
I am Captain_Obvious.
I only "come out" to ask, why did you think Matt Schneider (I hate that last name!) was me? I don't think I've ever made a post that stupid.

everyone forgotten "north atlantic" and "da prince and me".
I think its better to know Wicked and Rent than to not know theatre at all. It could lead to more shows.
Wicked introduced me to a lot of theater. Like faithanytwo said it introduces you to a lot of better theater.
