Yeah, I understand, Becky. They just changed too much of the story for my taste.

I don't think anyone mentioned this one...Galinda doesn't fall for Fiyero, that whole love triangle doesn't exist.

CONFUSED HERE

In the book "WICKED
Boq did become the Tin Man he would have to because even in the "Wizard Of OZ" books he told how he became like that and his name was Boq.
Also in the book I wondered if the Wizard knew that was his daughter but he was to himself in denial and had her killed for that reason it the first place.
Was Madam Morrible , Mother Yackle the whole time?
If so then she knew that Elphaba was the Wizards daughter ?

Lol! I realized that afte ri hit enter, OOPS! ALSO! Something I found interesting... You know when Turtleheart is making the glass? Isn't the disc he makes and hangs in front of Elphie (When she was a baby, just before he and Melena hit the sheets...) green?

One more thing... Shell was named after Turtleheart because Turtleheart died, I don't think SHell was his son too.

No, I think she was. I'm quoting here:

"...so she brought the green glass bottle that said MIRACLE ELI- on the paper glued to the front. It may merely be apocryphal that when the Wizard saw the glass bottle he gasped, and clutched his heart. The story is told in so many ways, depending on who is doing the telling, and what needs to be heard at the time. It is a matter of history, however, that shortly thereafter, the Wizard absconded from the Palace."

And remember, Turtle Heart didn't enter the picture until after Elphaba was born. Shell was his son.

Are we SURE he was Turtle Heart's son? And, I know he didn't enter the picture until after Elphie! He came when Melena was giving Elphie breakfest! And the minnow... Hehe!

Well, I guess there's not really any proof, but it's strongly implied. Nessarose is definitely his daughter, though. Right?

I'd say that Nessa was definately his, but I don't feel like it was even suggested that Shell was his as well.

Wasn't it implied that Turtleheart and Frex were in love as well?

When Nanny came to stay while Melena was carrying Nessa I do believe she went and got the stuff in the green bottle. She also got pills though... From Yackle.

Do you recall just before Ama Clutch died, she told Glinda, Elphie and Nessa she saw Grommetik in Dr. Dillamond's lab? I'll try and find the oages.

The book is infinitely better than the musical. They butchered it and dumbed it down for the audiences and made it trite. The book is darker and much richer, with much better fleshed-out characters and situations.

"I don't really get the ending, all i can go with is when after several months,Judith saw Pat sang, and later she kissed him on the toilet, after that the story back to where Pat went down from the stage after he'd sung, and he went to the italian lady.I just don't get it,what Judith exatcly meant when he kissed Pat that she had seen, and did Pat end up together with The Italian Lady? Please help me,thank u very much!" Quote from someone on IMDB in reference to a movie he/she didn't understand. Such grammar!

Just to prolong the life of the topic that I'm sure many people want to die... I actually like how they incorporate the Lion, Tin Man and Scare Crow into te show. I thought that was clever.
