Actually, I've noticed that a more shows have been trying out in San Francisco (since spring 2005: Legally Blonde, A Chorus Line, Lestat, Lennon, the Mambo Kings). Before The Pirate Queen Chicago hadn't had a tryout since early 2005 (Sweet Charity Revival, with Spamalot and All Shook Up in late '04), though there have been a few that were scheduled but cancelled (Woman in White, Masada, A Tale of Two Cities). Just as long as it's good, it can try out wherever it likes :)
Guys, let it be. We have to make up for them getting Princesses and Wedding Singer somehow.

But didn't Seattle also get The Light in the Piazza?
Oh man, Princesses! That was a trip.
Wowee, perfect timing, I'll be home in Seattle til late August!
okay, now, back those claws up, I was just makin' a joke. I guess I'm sore because I had season tickets when Woman in White was supposed to come here, and then they cancelled it. :O) I did get to see Fame Becomes Me here, I'm pretty sure it was last summer, so I'll be happy for all of you Seattle folks. :O)

Chicago did too :) (but at the Goodman - it wasn't part of Broadway in Chicago)
Ooh, and I forgot Fame Becomes Me in Chicago, probably because I didn't see it :x (but that was in SF too! so another notch for both.)

Was Hairspray at the same venue? Also, how did Hairspray do for ticket sales in Seattle? I am wondering if I should get my tickets as soon as they go on sale, or if I can wait for discounts, etc.

lupontiac: you missed NOTHING when they cancelled WIW, i promise. kind of interesting music, but it was basically actors in front of the most frenetic IMAX screens you could imagine.
almost made starlight express entertaining.
almost.
pleh!
I knew Aladdin was going to be as giddy as a catholic school gir.
At least they aren't playing Denver wher DISNEY hopes No one has a computer to chat about That Fish Girl.
Happy FutureAladdin got his wish.
You will Love Sutton Live, she is a Treasure.

I'm going to Seattle from August 4th to see a Mariners game and was hoping that YF would start before or on the day I'll be there! I already have flight tickets, hotel reservation and all I need is a ticket to the show! Hooray!
Woot! Woot! Seattle! Sorry, I'm a little late in posting.....yay! I'll probably be in Seattle in August. I'd love to see this!
