The LSOH tour closed, though Anthony was out of it a LONG time ago.
re: Favorite: Itty-Bitty Minor Sung Moment

In Thuy's Death/You Will Not Touch Him from Miss Saigon, right after Kim shoots Thuy and the ensemble begins to sing "This is the hour..". Both beautiful and amazing onstage as well as on the recording.
re: Understudy 'Personalization'
 Apr 25 2006, 08:15:54 PM
Rent has the movie that Mark made. I'm almost positive that does not change even when understudies are on.
re: Tony for Best Score
 Apr 24 2006, 07:29:43 PM
I'm pretty sure there are normally four nominee's in the best score category.

Excuse me if I am incorrect.

Playbill9117, where did you see a picture of the Hairspray Vegas set?
re: Marry Poppins is....

Didn't this same poster do the whole "BIG NEWS AT WEDDING SINGER" and then never post what had happened?

Maybe I have really bad memory.

re: Sweeney & Pajama Game may tour
 Apr 17 2006, 12:20:34 AM
The Pajama Game is currently listed as one of "The Booking Groups" clients and is underway for a 2006-2007 tour.

Proof? http://www.thebookinggroup.com/shows.htm

re: Caety Sagoian--Possibly the next Tracy Turnblad???
 Apr 9 2006, 10:42:27 PM
Wow, that girl is good.

I wonder what the producers and casting directors thought of her performance.

re: All Shook Up: Did It Really Happen?
 Apr 9 2006, 09:01:04 PM
This might seem like a really dumb question, but does anyone know if it was males or females or both involved in this so-called "orgy"?
re: Flashbacks
 Jan 15 2006, 04:55:47 PM
The MISS SAIGON helicopter sequence is done as a flashback.

re: first preview of Lestat..any news?
 Dec 19 2005, 07:57:54 PM
Does the show just use projections, and if not how much of the set is actually constructed?

re: Will Chitty Tour?
 Dec 14 2005, 09:27:36 PM
The show used to be listed on AWA Touring Services booking list [the same company that books shows like POTO, Les Mis, and Miss Saigon] but I looked today and the show was no longer listed.
re: FOOTLOOSE THE MUSICAL
 Dec 10 2005, 03:52:12 PM
Maybe they stopped producing the CD, and the remaining copies are really expensive?
re: Beauty And The Beast
 Nov 30 2005, 06:00:48 PM
WonderBoy, were you being sarcastic or were you actually involved with the Broadway company [cast or crew] at one time?
re: Can there be a White Angel (RENT)?
 Nov 29 2005, 08:06:49 PM
If that is true Amneris, did Norbert ever go on for Angel?

re: Birdie Revival in Near Future?
 Nov 28 2005, 05:52:21 PM
I don't know whether you are talking about a Broadway or a movie mounting but just last spring plans were announced for a BYE BYE BIRDIE National Tour.

The tour was supposed to begin in the 2005-2006 Touring Season and many dates had already been announced. The tour plans were cancelled and nothing has been mentioned of it since.

re: Eden is the next Elphaba
 Nov 28 2005, 05:14:46 PM
I would think that Eden and the others would sign a one year contract with the Broadway company.

The article can be found at http://www.broadway.com/Gen/Buzz_Story.aspx?ci=521963

Also, not to be too critical but in that photo of Eden as Elphaba does the costume not look to big and have a lot of green makeup around the collar. Thats a big surprize for a musical that cost over $10 million to produce.

re: Best Set You've Ever Seen?
 Nov 25 2005, 09:02:19 PM
I just feel that the RENT set is amazing in design. It suits the show so perfectly. Rent does not need a "hyper-reality" set in my opinion, the show is strong enough on its own than to need some "eye candy" for the bored 50 somethings to look at.

Everyone is entitled to thier own personal opinions. But just out of curiosity, what did you not like about the RENT or BATB sets?

I have seen both shows and feel that both their scenic designs work well for each respective show.
