GIRLFRIEND FROM HELL: THE MUSICAL @ The Cutting Room Jul 13
2015, 12:32:11 PM
Sean Matthew Whiteford (Rock of Ages, Rock N Roll Debauchery) presents a concert version of his 80s pop-rock horror romantic musical comedy, GIRLFRIEND FROM HELL: THE MUSICAL. Inspired by the 1989 B-movie of the same title, GIRLFRIEND FROM HELL tells the story of four-eyed wallflower, Maggie Miller, who longs for acceptance and romance. After being pushed over the edge by the most popular kids at school, Maggie cries to the heavens for help. But it's Satan who hears her cry. He convinces her to sell her soul, and he transforms her into a big-haired, high-heeled, foul mouthed, rock singing sex bomb who's hungry for revenge. Coming off of fully staged versions in NYC & Upstate NY and a very successful concert version at 54 Below, GIRLFRIEND FROM HELL: THE MUSICAL is an OUTRAGEOUSLY FUNNY, CAMPY and WILD TIME that you won't forget!
Featuring: Josephine Rose Roberts (Rock Of Ages, The Grinch), Charissa Hogeland (Heathers: The Musical), Trevor McQueen (Birdland, Annie Get Your Gun w/ Bernadette Peters), Giuliana DePietro, Justin Colombo (Rock Of Ages), Richard Jarrett (Rock Of Ages, Legally Blonde), Kerry Gibbons, Jay Schmidt (That Bachelorette Show), Michael Siktberg, Jillian Jarrett (Legally Blonde, Annie), Sean Matthew Whiteford (Rock of Ages, Rock N Roll Debauchery), Juda Leah, Olivia Rose Michaels & Matthew Patane. The band for the evening will include Jordyn Blakely (Bayside: The Musical), Dean DiMarzo & Dylan DeBiase.

“HEDWIG AND THE ANGRY INCH” is proud to be making their Hudson Valley debut this April, presented by The Castaway Players Theatre Company. This groundbreaking, critically acclaimed Off-Broadway smash also won multiple awards for its hit film adaptation that has since become a cult phenomenon, a la “The Rocky Horror Picture Show”. It's a rocking ride, funny, touching and ultimately inspiring to anyone who has felt life gave them an inch when they deserved a mile. Directed by Melissa

Best Jesus Christ Superstar Recording Feb 10
2011, 10:08:13 PM
I own close to 30 different JCS recordings, and I can say I enjoy the 96 London Cast a lot. It might not be the ultimate best, but I do believe that Zubin Varla and Steve Balsamo are an amazing team on that album. The movie soundtrack does have Neeley and Anderson, but I don't think that's their best performances - they got much better...find videos of them in the early 90s on YouTube. Plus, the sound quality is kind of weird on that album. The concept album has great moments, and sounds great w

Girlfriend From Hell: The Musical Feb 4
2011, 11:20:20 AM
Hey guys, just wanted to give you a sneak peak at my new musical that is aiming to premiere Off-Broadway this summer. From part of the press release: "Given the director's blessings and encouragement, Sean Matthew Whiteford, brings us a new wildly entertaining original rock musical, loosely based on the campy 80s B-movie of the same name. Poor Maggie just can't catch a break -- constantly being ridiculed at school for her nerdy looks and clumsy nature. Under false pretenses, Maggie is invited to a fraternity party as the campus attempts to embarrass her even more. What they did not expect is for Maggie to arrive possessed by Satan himself, completely transforming her into a rock singing sex bomb with big hair and an even bigger thirst for souls! With an exciting and catchy original score, and filled with off-the-wall, side-splitting laughs, GIRLFRIEND FROM HELL: THE MUSICAL follows the irresistible spirit of other classic quirky rock musicals that we all know and love. Not to be missed...your soul may depend on it." Demo is currently being recorded...here's a sample: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wFjDAYNFLcI More to come!
