hey molina fans, if u r interested, she will be performing at the duplex in a cabaret show alongside her friend Nick. Heres some info about it if u wanna come!
THE MOST OVERDONE SONGS EVER, A BRAND NEW NOT SO NEW REVUE featuring Nick Cearley and Lauren Molina (Johanna in Broadway's Sweeney Todd). She will be lugging her famous yellow hair and cello to the Duplex Cabaret Theatre the first Sunday of every month at 7pm.

just posting this in defense of the comment "doesnt have the vocal range." just to clarify, this production was of course led by sondheim who's objective with johanna was to make the role NOT as sopranoey as past johannas. so bringing the part down an octave doesnt necessarily mean she doesnt have the vocal range, she was told to do that by sondheim as he didnt ever like that part up the octave. he wanted a more belt sound for her this go round. i dont think that means she doesnt have the ran

Lauren Molina is one of the most talented bitches working on Broadway. She is certainly a jack (or jill) of all trades and i hope her work is acknowledged by all for her star turn as Johanna. She is such a renaissance woman as not only does she have the talent she displays onstage in Sweeney Todd, but she also is a multi faceted painter/artist and that girl can HOLD her liquor.

WOLF TRAP!? is that the follow up to Agatha Christie's MOUSETRAP? You know, a murder mystery Sondheim Friday might be quite interesting. However, I would always vote the killer was kip kip. He is ALWAYS meddling in trouble...
Cant wait to hear the WOLF TRAP family singers tonight.

So, I hear from a little Kip kip that last week, people who sang the most obscure song got their drinks for free? can u explain this please? also, kip kip is so excited to try out his best 16 bars for the role of the linnet bird.

I will definitely be attending and I can't wait to see what they will all be singing...Are there going to be any song premieres from Brignt Lights Big City by chance? What a great cause. thats a great article. cant wait to sing "i guess this is goodbye." i hear that MAYBE someone from the new sweeney todd cast could show up? patti? michael? cyndi? stephen? guess we will have to wait and see.
