Anyway - I'd rather not engage in anything more than the topic, so I'll just offer my two cents and leave it alone.
I think his voice suits the score incredibly well. Those high notes will have a much fuller sound while maintaining a unique quality.
I worry about his acting though. He is notorious for not being able to memorize and there is a ton of dialogue (more than he's had to handle in the past) and I feel as though when he goes out and has, what I expect will be, a vastly

It is confirmed. It's just not public yet. This thread could have been started tomorrow morning or today. Does it matter? The previous thread was boring because it became a comical thread about using Harvey Fierstein, etc. I hoped to provoke an ACTUAL conversation about Adam taking over the role. Were my expectations to high?

I've been here for two days. I actually posted a teaser trailer - got flagged for somehow being involved with the production. It was coincidence that I saw Adam at the same theatre that produced the stage version of the trailer. Then I saw the Chad Kimball thread and happened to actually KNOW who was replacing him.
I'm Adam Pascal.
Not really.
I wish these boards were more about fun and discussion...

I think Adam's voice will sound incredible with the score. But obviously his performance will be so completely different from Kimball that it might throw things, for better or worse.
But there is no debate here. This thread might as well become about debating the merits of Adam in the role. It isn't speculation, it IS happening FOR SURE.

My connection is simply that I saw the stage production and the theatre company that produced it made this announcement today. I am a lurker of this board and thought it would be a great place to spread the word.
I agree. I find the lack of question marks strange.
I believe it's just a teaser. They said it doesn't start shooting until Aug 2012.

I saw the regional production of this (I also saw Adam Pascal there at the end of their last season) and it was incredible. As soon as I saw that they were making a movie I knew I had to spread the word. Thoughts?
