Official announcement tomorrow. Just thought I would get the discussion going.

There was already a discussion going. Which you were a part of. No need to start a new one because you want people to see that you know the announcement is tomorrow.

Actually, I thought that thread was sort of buried and that people had to go to page two of a pretty boring and useless discussion to get to the info.
Not EVERYONE joins these boards for vanity.
Oh, for Christ's sake.
Ugh
Is Anthony playing Felicia?

"Not EVERYONE joins these boards for vanity."
Really? Everything you've posted so far has to do with Adam Pascal.

I've been here for two days. I actually posted a teaser trailer - got flagged for somehow being involved with the production. It was coincidence that I saw Adam at the same theatre that produced the stage version of the trailer. Then I saw the Chad Kimball thread and happened to actually KNOW who was replacing him.
I'm Adam Pascal.
Not really.
I wish these boards were more about fun and discussion...

Jordan, it's posts like those that made me wish this site had a "like" button!
And, this news...just, ew. I don't love Pascal, but he's better than replacing in this show.
So basically, a discussion thread about possible replacements for Chad Kimball is boring, but a thread about his replacement, which has not been confirmed yet is not. Okay...

It is confirmed. It's just not public yet. This thread could have been started tomorrow morning or today. Does it matter? The previous thread was boring because it became a comical thread about using Harvey Fierstein, etc. I hoped to provoke an ACTUAL conversation about Adam taking over the role. Were my expectations to high?

Anyway - I'd rather not engage in anything more than the topic, so I'll just offer my two cents and leave it alone.
I think his voice suits the score incredibly well. Those high notes will have a much fuller sound while maintaining a unique quality.
I worry about his acting though. He is notorious for not being able to memorize and there is a ton of dialogue (more than he's had to handle in the past) and I feel as though when he goes out and has, what I expect will be, a vastly different approach to that of Chad Kimball or his understudies, that fans of the show will be too jarred by it and not accepting. Having said that, while I enjoyed Kimball, I know his performance irritates a ton of people, so maybe Adam will be a welcome and refreshing change.
Is it a requirement that everyone who plays Huey must have a thin voice?
Since I don't read through every thread on this board, especially megathreads devoted to one show/topic, I actually found this thread very useful. Just says what it needs to say for those who are interested. Thanks OP!
When can I start buying tickets!
Clap Yo Hands, I was just about to type the exact sentiment!
This is cool news, thanks!!!
Nice to Adam back on Broadway.
Wish it was in a quality show, though
He's 40 and reads 45, I just can't believe this is the best they could do. Total mismatch, so if this is indeed true, it won't last through the end of the year.
"He's 40 and reads 45..."
Is this serious? I really don't think so.

He reads early to mid 30's AT WORST. IMO.

This will completely change the show. I cant imagine him giving a remotely similar performance to kimball/fenkart. Another reason to head back there I suppose.
He's aged a lot in recent years. "Early 30s at worst"? Only if you're in the rear mezz and legally blind. He's still an attractive man, but not early 30s.
His Southern accent attempts should be interesting.
Wait, Adam Pascal?
Who's Adam Pascal?
It's been that long.
