Overall I also prefer Lippa's version. I own both and they're both quite good but I like Lippa's better. In general I agree with Spider in why he likes it better. Especially for the Brian D'Arcy James factor...I love that man's voice!

I'll second Parade, it's fantastic. The Secret Garden (OBC) is also great.

I'd go with the OBC but only because I have an affinity for Victor Garber. They're both quite good.

"Raimiette, You hated Children of Eden? Wow that's one of my favorites.. I did it summer of 2003 and it's was so much fun and so powerful emotionally.. I know personal opinion and but what did you hate about it?" I didn't hate it but it's not one of my favorties. I didn't enjoy the sets and I thought the acting was pretty sub-par. I really only liked one song from it (Lost in the Wilderness). It wasn't too bad but I put it on my least favorite list because I don't get to see

First I have a question for those folks who didn't like Titanic. What was it that you didn't like about it? Was it the music or was it the overall production? I ask because I own the cast recording which I love a lot but I've never gotten to see the production itself and there have been quite a few people who have been sticking it on their least liked lists. It didn't do badly on Broadway, I think it ran for about 3 years, it crashed when the film came out mind you but I'm sure that was to b

Fill me in here, when did Brent Carver leave Parade? The show only ran for like 3 1/2 months...he must have only been there a tiny time. I also agree that if left Broadway too soon. Fantastic musical.

re: wicked book vs. wicked play Sep 20

Oh god, there are tons of differences...obvious spoilers ahead. Elphaba's dad isn't the govenor, just a preacher/minister. Nessarose doesn't have arms but has fully functual legs. Elphaba doesn't like magic and isn't very good at it in the novel. Fieyro dies in Elphaba's apartment by being beaten to death by some of the Wizard's followers. Near the middle of the book too...and even so he gets WAY more developed than the one in the musical.
