Cast Recordings

I'm looking to expand my collection of cast recordings. As of now I only have about 20 or so. Does anyone have any suggestions? What are your favorites? Some of my favorites that I have are:
Aida
Wicked
Rent
Once on this Island
A New Brain
Crazy For You
Joseph...(although I'm not usually an Andrew Lloyd Webber fan)
What is your dream role?
My dream role would be to be myself. To be performing at the Hollywood Bowl and to have an audience there just to see me, as Stephanie. They are there because they like what I do as a singer, an artist and a person (the last being the most important). I enjoy escaping and portraying other characters, but to be accepted and wanted as yourself... that's amazing! --Stephanie J. Block Just one of the many reasons I admire and respect Stephanie!!

Are some recordings I love and recommend.

OBCs or 'classic'(or revivals). Shows like CAROUSEL, DAMN YANKEES, KISS ME KATE, ANYTHING GOES, GODSPELL, H2$ -W/Matthew Broderick and Megan Mullally are must haves too, for posterity.

THOROUGHLY MODERN MILLIE and THE BOY FROM OZ are great too, I agree.

I was just going to add MISS SAIGON and Lippa's THE WILD PARTY (w/Taye Diggs, Idina Menzel, Julia Murney, Brian D'Arcy James -awesome score!!)

And to make sure you have a prosepective big fat list:

LA CAGE AUX FOLLES

TOMMY
BLOOD BROTHERS
THE BEST LITTLE WHOREHOUSE IN TEXAS
COMPANY

Have loved all of these. These stood out in my head to suggest without looking at anything I have.
These shows have great music.
There are too many. And many more.

Hope you get to own some of them.

If I were playing "Desert Island Discs," this would be the ten original cast albums I couldn't live without.

Thanks so much guys. These are great suggestions! I totally forgot about Into the Woods. That was actually one of my first musicals...that was memorable at least.

I've always wanted to know more about the Baker's Wife. I have Susan Egan singing Meadowlark on my computer and I LOVE the song but know nothing about the show.
And Company is diffinitly one I should have (my university did that show my junior year).
What is your dream role?

Mame - OBC
Hello, Dolly! - OBC
Camelot - OBC
Ragtime - OBC
Mack and Mabel - OBC (although London recording would do)
No No Nanette - Broadway revival

CHESS (obviously). Although it's not the truest record of the show (but then, what is) the concept album with Elaine Paige and Murray Head is still my favorite musical recording of all time.

And there are some recordings which I may not like the whole, but something extremely stand out.

all muiscals all cool like hazel flagg, plain and fancy all muiscals should be recored.
