Have You Left at Intermission?
ChiDoc said: "Inspired by the discussion about Floyd Collins audiences, have you ever left a show at intermission and why?
The only Broadway or touring show I left was The Kite Runner, which I found to be absolute misery p*rn and incredibly (intentionally and unintentionally) unpleasant. Learning that Act 2 was longer than the first made me walk out of the theater, and I hadno regrets, especially after reading the plot summary.

What is the worst production you have ever seen on Broadway? What is the worst show?
It's a tie! Cats and Aspects of Love.
Leslie Odom, Jr. sets Broadway return in revival of PURLIE VICTORIOUS, directed by Kenny Leon.
100% agree...he is not a "name" outside of theater insiders. In addition. if people know anything about this, they know the musical, not the play.
Singin' in the Rain Ogunquit Playhouse
Do you know how they pay now? I assume there are salaries that meet equity standards.
Singin' in the Rain Ogunquit Playhouse
They were still building the sets during the first previews, which is not unusual at Ogunquit. The first few rows were getting quite a bit of rain, and I think that's been fixed.
Singin' in the Rain Ogunquit Playhouse
She's quite lovely and charming, if not quite up to the male leads as a dancer.
Singin' in the Rain Ogunquit Playhouse
At one point, there was talk of a revival with Derek Hough, but nothing came of that. I can't imagine a better production, considering the material which does not translate easily to the stage.
Singin' in the Rain Ogunquit Playhouse
Maybe it's just that it is such fun to see an old-fashioned musical with no agenda except entertainment. The male leads are both just fine.
Singin' in the Rain Ogunquit Playhouse
I was not expecting how wonderful this show was! Great costumes, singing, and especially dancing. Max Clayton is fantastic, and in another era would have been a huge Broadway star. He sings well but is an absolutely fantastic dancer. What a wonderful performer, and so happy to see him doing well.
Ball to star in ALW’s new reimagined ASPECTS OF LOVE
More than most...over 500 shows, and it's still the champ!
Ball to star in ALW’s new reimagined ASPECTS OF LOVE
The worst single evening in the theater in more than 50 years of Broadway!

RIP Kevin Colson of Aspects of Love
He was wonderful, but Aspects of Love stands alone at my worst night ever on Broadway.

THE BOYS IN THE BAND Broadway Revival - Spring 2018?
Auggie...that is a smart analysis, and would be an excellent directorial choice. Harold is the focal point, or should be.
