BRING IT ON: The Musical Reviews
 Aug 2 2012, 12:45:07 PM
Yeah, glad to see all the positive words! On Curtain Critic it's scoring:
73 Overall
85 Cast
67 Book
74 Music
85 Tech
http://www.curtaincritic.com/Shows/BRING_IT_ON__THE_MUSICAL_REVIEWS-225.html

Only a few really negative reviews on there.

AS YOU LIKE IT Raves
 Jun 22 2012, 04:25:02 PM
Wow, figured it would get strong reviews w/ Lily Rabe & Daniel Sullivan etc but didn't see all of them being quite THIS strong. Even the most cynical of critics seem to have individually been reminded of the magic of Shakespeare in the Park. Truly great to see! I personally loved it as well.

Currently a 92 which is the highest scoring show on Curtain Critic:

Congrats to the Public and everyone involved!

#TonyChat on Twitter at 2pm
 May 2 2012, 01:10:40 PM
Curtain Critic (@curtaincritic) is interviewing Faster Times theater critic Jonathan Mandell (@NewYorkTheater) on Twitter at 2pm about the Tony nominations using hashtag #TonyChat. Anyone is able to ask questions as well using that hashtag.

Should be interesting, I enjoy reading Mandell's criticism.

Rant about the 2012 TONY nominations here
 May 1 2012, 10:01:00 AM
Curtain Critic just published a post on how they think Leap of Faith got the nod:

"So put yourself in the shoes of a theater owner or producer outside of New York looking for a hit in your new touring season. You’ve got your 3 obvious nominees: Once, Nice Work, and Newsies. But you have to pick 4. Your other options are Spiderman, Ghost, Leap of Faith, Bonnie & Clyde or Lysistrata Jones. Ghost and Spiderman are both so technically complex and expensive that it complicates their touring prospects. Lysistrata Jones failed to find an audience on Broadway and closed after just 30 regular performances. Bonnie & Clyde didn’t last much longer. Leap of Faith has a broad theme that’s easy to connect to for most of America and a likeable score by Alan Menken. Check."

MAGIC/BIRD Reviews
 Apr 12 2012, 02:21:48 PM
It's strange that there's such a lack of drama in the script. There's so much potential for it with this story. I guess this is a product of it being NBA-produced and needed to be signed off on by Johnson and Bird.

Right now it's at 51 on Curtain Critic http://www.curtaincritic.com/Shows/MAGIC_BIRD_REVIEWS-135.html

Broadway on Spotify
 Apr 4 2012, 12:08:10 PM
With almost every cast recording ever on Spotify, it would be great if Masterworks or someone built a Broadway app for Spotify (like they Classify app for Classical).

For now I'm enjoying this Spotfiy playlist of every show that's ever won Best Musical http://blog.curtaincritic.com/post/20409452091/a-spotify-playlist-with-62-years-of-best-musical

End of the Rainbow Reviews

It's scoring a 71 on Curtain Critic in the 15 reviews they have up there. Interesting how much disagreement there is about this show. http://www.curtaincritic.com/Shows/END_OF_THE_RAINBOW_REVIEWS-128.html

ONCE Reviews
 Mar 19 2012, 05:44:22 PM
I was surprised that the book tended to be the main point of criticism in these reviews (on CurtainCritic.com the book score is like 10 points lower than everything else). I thought this was actually one of the best books in a new musical I've seen in years.
DEATH OF A SALESMAN Reviews

Has anyone seen GALILEO?
 Feb 24 2012, 02:48:12 PM
Reading these reviews is making me want to try and get tickets: http://www.curtaincritic.com/Shows/GALILEO_REVIEWS-112.html. Anyone seen it? I love F Murray Abraham.
No critics panned SHATNERS WORLD

Yeah very pleasant surprise
No critics panned SHATNERS WORLD
 Feb 17 2012, 03:33:48 PM
I'm just saying, it's interesting that there's more of a critical consensus for Shatner's World than anything else of late. Every review for Shatner's World on Curtain Critic is between 75 and 50. This is much narrower than all the other recent shows. Wit reviews range between 100 and 30. Road to Mecca between 80 and 30. Porgy between 100 and 10... (this is all going off of http://curtaincritic.com, which aggregates & scores the reviews well i think)

No critics panned SHATNERS WORLD
 Feb 17 2012, 03:23:26 PM
Definitely didn't mean I wanted him to get panned - just though it was interesting that this was the first Bway show in a while that seems to have no one publishing a really negative review for it. Even Wit and Porgy, which in general were much better reviewed than Shatner, got a pan or two.
No critics panned SHATNERS WORLD
 Feb 17 2012, 02:54:51 PM
Anyone else surprised that no one has really written a super scathing review for Shatner's World?

The show only got a 66 on Curtain Critic but all the reviews are good to decent, nothing terrible. http://www.curtaincritic.com/Shows/SHATNER_S_WORLD__WE_JUST_LIVE_IN_IT_REVIEWS-108.html
