Sutton Foster will soon best Lansbury
 Oct 15 2025, 03:37:58 PM

Coal miners daughter is happening in the next two years.  Out of town tryout and broadway production.  Sutton’s plan is to do Gypsy a few years after that.

JSquared2 said: "Will Sutton's GYPSY be the one that takes place in New Orleans??"

well given the fact that it’s being done by Roundabout, maybe?

It’s not just about awards.  Sutton is brilliant on stage and absolutely no one can do what she does.  Who else can do an 8 minute tap dance and then belt high notes at the end of it.  Shes a wonderful actress, singer, dancer, and comedienne.  She’s perfect.

Coal Miner’s Daughter is STELLAR.  I am blown away by what I’ve seen and heard, she’s absolutely dazzling in the show.  I smell a Tony.  She will then take on the role of Rose in Gypsy, the role she was BORN to play.  Sutton is truly the greatest leading lady Broadway has ever had.

John Lithgow in GIANT - Broadway, March 2026
 Oct 15 2025, 12:57:28 PM

You might be able to get in for free here since it’s gonna flop.  The subject matter repels people. It’s either offensive to people or woke to others.  This will be a Tammy Faye type situation.  Remember Katie breyban winning the Olivier??

Broadway Grosses: Week Ending 10/12/25

The last week of October is usually pretty terrible.  It’s a good week to get a good deal with you wanted to plan something.

Branford Ct does Broadway Nov 12!  $225 per person, includes round trip transportation, a ticket to the Queen of Versailles, and a talk back with executive producer and Branford resident Greg Nobile. Wow, what a deal!

Death Becomes Her will recoup!!

Everyone is certainly entitled to their opinion.  It’s interesting to me how John Proctor took off when I thought that play was pedestrian and seemed like some coming of age movie I’ve seen a million times over. Mundane, dull and boring.  Liberation is amazing to me in all of its three dimensional glory

John Lithgow in GIANT - Broadway, March 2026

Scott Rudin is still on track this spring with Nathan Lane in Joe Mantello directed Death of a Salesman and also Bruce Norris’ Cottonfield. Not sure if there’s a leading man in the latter.  But I’d argue, Lithgow will be one of the many options this season, but far from a front runner.  Nathan Lane will be unstoppable!!!

Oh for sure.  And roald Dahl means significantly less over here than over there.

Giant was not really a shoo in at the Olivier awards, and neither was Lithgow for that matter.  There was a lot of talk about Adrien Brody winning, so I don’t think Lithgow is giving this performance for the ages that some here describe because he wasn’t even a lock in London.

Looking for rec: Godot vs Art vs Other

I just saw Liberation has a matinee on Wednesday.  I would highly recommend that play. Wouldn’t recommend Art, haven’t seen Godot.
