What is sad above all is that they don't mention that the crass right-wing neo con plant at the Garden called her a Communist. And if someone called me that-- for expressing my displeasure at the job performance, lack of leadership and bold false lies being told by the man now living at 1600 Penn Ave, I would have said what our Barbra, did if not more. An artist does not give up their right to their views because of their art. This is still a free country...I think. <

With twenty Tony Awards Hal Prince needs to answer to no one. If he feels that directing, fine tuning, shapeing, and crafting this new shorter, reimagined Las Vegas production is what he needs to be doing today-- than more praise for Mr. Prince. He is not going to lose any sleep or job offers. We don't know if or whether the people behind the Tonys will have Mr. Prince except his award via tape or live feed. Both are quite possible. this begs the question Recognizable to whom? Someone who knows and loves theatre ? or someone who thinks Hilary Duff, Lindsey Lohan or Spears Feederline actually have musical talent? If it is the former then creative forces would suggest... Hal Prince...(20 Tony Awards, count them 20!, Sodheim, Neil Simon among others Star power...all depends on the moment.
