Hugh Jackman is committed by contract for a One Year run in this show (October 2004.) The show had a hugh 10 million dollar advance before it opened. If Jackman wins the Tony award in June, ticket sales could advance even further for the five remaining months of Jackman's contract after the Tony Awards the first week of June 2004.

CRY BABY is actually in the "talking stages" of heading for Broadway by the same creative team from HAIRSPRAY.
Also, interesting possibilities would be:
THE NIGHTMARE BEFORE CHRISTMAS
BOY IN THE PLASTIC BUBBLE (TV Movie)
VALLEY OF THE DOLLS (TV Movie)
YENTL

I loved this show. I've seen it twice and both times the audiences went wild. Standing ovation in the middle of the show. Jackman and Keating are fantastic.
