SWEPT AWAY Broadway Reviews
 Nov 25 2024, 07:49:06 AM

Swept Away was an interesting experience. Based on the music of The Avett Brothers (whom I wasn’t very familiar with), the blending of the cast’s voices was incredible. The music had a raw, emotional depth, and the performances were top-notch. That said, the overall tone of the show was quite somber and, at times, depressing. It wasn’t the easiest watch, and I’m not sure I’d recommend it for someone visiting New York for a short time, especially if you&rsquo

Favorite of the trip! When I first heard about Happy Ending, a musical about robots from Korea, I’ll admit, I was skeptical. The concept sounded bizarre, and I wasn’t sure what to expect. But after reading glowing reviews online, I decided to take a chance. And I’m so glad I did. It turned out to be my absolute favorite show of the weekend. The storytelling was charming, sweet, and surprisingly emotional—sometimes even heartbreaking. The production was incredibly well

DEATH BECOMES HER comments/questions
 Nov 25 2024, 07:31:45 AM

What a surprise! I didn’t know what to expect from Death Becomes Her, but it turned out to be a laugh-out-loud good time. The chemistry between the two leads was fantastic—so much playful banter and hilarious moments. Honestly, I enjoyed it more than the movie. It was a riot, and I appreciated how much fun it was to just sit back and enjoy the show. If you’re looking for a lighthearted, fun night at the theater, this is definitely worth seeing.

GYPSY Previews - most important question
 Nov 25 2024, 07:30:18 AM

Gypsy was a mixed experience for me. I desperately wanted to love it, especially given the show’s legendary status, but something felt off. It had all the right elements—great songs, strong performances—but it didn’t quite hit the emotional mark I was hoping for. I can’t pinpoint exactly what was missing, but I left the theater feeling like there was something more that should have connected. It wasn’t a bad show, but I wasn’t fully moved by it either

Is it even worth trying, thinking about doing it tomorrow and just curious if it’s even worth going down there?

Thanks

just struggling, I purchased some shows in advance, but this particular one I’m just on the fence about paying full price to be in the orchestra or waiting to the day of and hoping

I’m saying the same thing about Sunset Boulevard I can get a house seat for $300 from someone or I risk and see what I can get from TKTS

So now I’m on the fence

everyone seems to really like the show but pre-purchasing tickets in advance. For example I can get a great orchestra seat for 179 or I can wait and go to TKTS or the box office and hope for something good but I don’t know what to do

pre-purchase for a show this weekend at 179 for a great seat or risk it and go to the box office and end up on a side

Sunset Boulevard pricing
 Nov 19 2024, 08:00:15 PM

Is it really worth 300+ dollars to sit in the orchestra for the show it seems all the tickets that are 150 or less are all in the very rear upper mezz

I’m having a hard time justifying the pricing, just need some general feedback

The irony is I noticing it’s on TKTS a lot as well so is it better just to go there

I’m gonna be visiting New York next weekend and I have only two opportunities to see the show Saturday night or a Sunday matinee. November 23 and 24th

looking for a single ticket, at this point should I just go to the box office or go to TKTS or does anybody else have any suggestions? I wonder how bad it will be

Can someone do me a favor when they go to the theater look at the visually impaired seats and let me know how bad they are  or will they be ok

Orchestra left row F seat 1

if you look at the map, it looks like it’s on the extreme far side

Unfortunately the producers in the theater of the show have decided not to do visually impaired seats or offer any accessibility options for those with vision issues,

it’s difficult to give a review for a show that they don’t accommodate and their solution is to buy premium seating so in my opinion that says enough
