You all have the power! If no one that ever posts on this board does NOT tune in on Sundays to that ridiculous insulting "dumbing" down of musical theatre...it will be a huge testament to the theatre community. I know you're all curious...you all wanna be in the loop...but ThIS IS NOT BROADWAY. This is disgusting reality tv taking Broadway down just like they've taken pop music, fashion, cullinary arts, and everything else down. Not only shoudl Grease NOT be coming back..but we don't need to lin

Try talking about how flawed ACL is with a friend, then having someone next to you chime in (agreeing) and turn to see that is an original cast member. Now THAT is amazing. Someone told me that happened to them-and they all went on to discuss the many flaws of the revival. HA! People have opinions..it's entertainment...and others are bound to hear it..as long as it's not personal or mean.

Hudson is no good on stage. Although she sang her face off in the Whorehouse concert..she was cardboard. Bill Condon was able to nail her against a wall and get everything out of her on film, but we don't need another poorly acted Effie who just sings (like Holiday.) We want an Effie that has emotion..that takes us on a journey without big hand gestures. That was what did work in Philly. The show was SO under-directed that the actors had only their own emotions to work from. Between their raw em

Fenchurch? Are you out of your mind? Though the OBC is created for a pop album of the early 80's. the orchestrations of the orginal are 75% recreated in the movie. So they added a little organ to it-good idea, But the show was FAR from white...the movie did not IMPROVE Dreamgirls...it simply made a great movie and paid GREAT respect to the show while bringing it to a broader movie audience. RENT was awful as were the orchestrations. Furthermore..you'd want neither Bway or pop singers..you'd wan

Josh literally sounded like a woman when he sang his 4 lines today-and being that Phil has a pretty high voice...that's disturbing. At least write Tarzan's songs in a MANLY key. Boo...all we needed was mediochre Gambatese on to bring it full circle.

Part of the problem with the internet and clips like this is that people form these opinions about shows they really haven't seen . I cannot imagine how anyone can judge DIRECTION of a show from a few clips. Furthermore, when a show is given $1.99 to build a set, one can A) buy tons of construction paper and build a set with 20 different locations that looks like a kindergarten project; or B) build ONE unit set that is abstract, yet classy and can be 100 different things. I suppose you Rentboy w
