I've heard a few songs from this - and they are quite good.

The parts of the score that I've heard are amazing.
Really witty lyrics with lovely melodies to add to it.
I could also see Gavin Creel as Frank - just my opinion.

re: Musicals with long stretches of no music

"Les Miz doesn't have long stretches of no music, it is COMPLETELY music. Sung-through in the style of an opera."

I think that was supposed to be a joke...?

Also, Pacific Overtures has some sections that go on for a while without songs. Assassins as well.

"Inner City" Musical information?

Has anybody heard/seen the Broadway musical "Inner City" based on the book "Inner City of Mother Goose?" I'm trying to find some information on this.

Thanks!

On "The Wild Party" Recording (LaChiusa) in the song "People Like Us," the lyric goes:
People like us,
We get BY through the day...

On the recording it is sung:
People like us,
We get through the day...

Missing the word "by" - a minor thing, but still counts

Marie Christine is a must.

I could listen to her (plus this score) forever.

All you have to do is search hard enough and you can find versions of the B'way scrips - for instance, I have a copy from pre-off-broadway.

Just keep looking - it will show up.

The rhymes are...well...not there. And it's not like it was intentioned that way, the "rhymes" there are just words that sound similar (and some not so much) to their other part, which pisses a lot of people off (me, included).
