Lansbury was terrific. Gypsy with Lansbury was my first Broadway show. She was perfection.

Agreed. I found it to be a little obnoxious. If you want to see a great performance of Rose, go to that site and look at live news reel clips of Lansbury performing Some People, Together and Rose's Turn from Gypsy.

I didn't think Peters was perfectly suited for the part, but was never the less entertained and somewhat intrigued by her interpretation.

You could have written to her c/o the theatre she was performing at when she was starring in Deuce on Broadway. You can always do that with any performer. I corresponded back and forth with Ms. Lansbury three times when I was 15 years old and she was starring in Sweeney on Broadway, by writing to her c/o the then Uris Theatre. She wrote me back within a week. She was nice enough to let me meet her backstage after one of the performances and referenced something I had said in one of my letters th
