The reviews are pretty accurate. I saw it last Saturday and thought it ran way too long. They need to get rid of those Oklahoma-style ballet numbers...and Brooke. Nice try but a weak voice lost in a cast of proven showstoppers. Raul Esparza, however, delivers the goods.

That was nice.
Even though the program was oddly edited at times, I actually liked how quickly it went by for an awards show. Kristin Chenoweth is pretty amusing, but I think most of her schtick would have worked better with a co-host. It was good to hear the "real" version of Raul's performance since that awful dubbed version is what exists on YouTube. And yes, his speech was very articulate and heartfelt (...he loves the word "extraordinary", doesn't he?)

I have to admit I never paid attention to this song until I saw this comic performance on YouTube. That man sure can sing.
