I'll be seeing Dreamplay. I'm excited, I have never been to Fringe before.
Rent Lottery

Does anyone know where the $40 tickets are located in the theater?
Rent Off Broadway (Rent Revival) Cast album!!!!!
 Jul 30 2011, 01:05:36 PM
A live recording of this production would be ideal. I still feel as if Rent doesn't yet have a cast album that fully captures the show's energy. The original is too raw, and the film soundtrack is too produced.

As much as I want this to happen, I doubt an online petition will make a significant impact...

Has anyone seen Connecticut Rep's production of My Fair Lady yet and/or is planning on seeing it this week?

They have already been giving out the rights. The first non professional production will be in New Jersey in August. I know of productions of the show that will be going on all the way up to next Spring.

Definitely try and come! The student work is really impressive at UConn. The school does an amazing job at keeping up with current theater technology. And the performers are an extremely talented mix of grad students, undergrads, and working Equity actors.

Andrea is starting rehearsals tonight as Pennywise for the Connecticut Repertory Theater's production of Urinetown! From what I've seen and heard, this is going to be an amazing production! The incredible Paul Mullins is directing and the designs look awesome.

If anyone is going to be in the CT area between April 17th and 30th, it will definitely be worth making the trip. Spread the word!

Replacements in shows that would of won the TONY

Justin Johnston as Angel in Rent.
I also think Alexandra Socha could have possibly won supporting actress as Wendla in Spring Awakening. She acted the heck out of the role.

I'm planning on seeing the production at the Playhouse on the Green in Birdgeport, CT. They did the show last halloween and I missed it, but it is back with pretty much the same cast out of popular demand.

re: In The Heights Dream Sequence Video: Watch this one kid play every rol
 Sep 22 2009, 08:52:45 PM
Personally, I'm just happy the kid isn't jumping around dressed as a pregnant teen singing "Totally f**ked." I thought that was totally adorable, something that I would have done at that age to The Wizard of Oz or Sound of Music.

Yes please! So happy about this. She has potential to write an amazing musical. OT, but I can't wait for her gig at Radio City in Oct.
re: Next to Normal Colors

If anyone noticed, in "The Song of Forgetting," Natalie, Dan, and Diana are all wearing blue and brown in their costumes. I thought that was interesting, since I had never noticed such detail in the costumes of THIS particular show. I mean, I thought they just threw on some street clothes every few minutes and that was all. And that would have made sense, since it is a modern day show about modern day people, but I love how much though went into it even though it could have been so much easier t

Rent. "I jumped over the moooooon." The whole bit when Mimi returns from the dead at the end in a trans. It just takes away the seriousness of the moment for me.

Ben Folds could write AMAZING stuff for theater.
re: Michael Berry on for Dr. Madden/Dr. Fine in N2N today

I saw Michael as thr Dr. in Washington D.C. and he was great! He brought a lot to the role. He seemed to fit it perfectly. I wish him all the best today.

How was the rush crowd?

I am excited for Meghann! Isn't this the first time she has ever gone on at all since she started in Arlington?
