Bernadette Peters & Lea Salonga to Lead OLD FRIENDS On Broadway
 Feb 9 2025, 04:28:07 PM

I completely agree. Bernadette's Send in the Clowns was beautiful but other songs were pretty rough. Lea was absolutely incredible. I mean I have seen her perform both in concert and in shows but she just blew me away. Specifically as Ms. Lovett and as Rose in Gypsy, I never thought of her as Rose but she was masterful. Was a beautiful night and I think I will probably bring friends back. If you have the chance, I would definitely recommend seeing it.

Saw Patty LuPone and remember feeling like it was an out of body experience. Would have killed to see Angela Landsbury. Hoping I get the chance to see Audra!

Once Upon A Mattress...Sutton Foster Acrobatics!
 Dec 30 2024, 10:16:27 AM

I searched and couldn't find the answer to this ridiculous question. So, here it goes. Does anyone know if Sutton Foster has ever had a close call or has fallen off the mattresses when she is flipping around on top of the tall pile of them in Once Upon a Mattress? I saw the show last week in L.A. and all I could think about is how carefree she seemed so high up on stage and whether she had ever fallen. Tried searching the board and on the internet but no answers. Inquiring minds... :)

I feel the same, I would love to have them release the orchestrations alone.

I was looking too for a link to watch. Couldn't make it to the live stream. Searched youtube but nothing. Does anyone know if there is a place to watch now that the live is over?

How easy/hard is it to win the Illinoise lottery?
 Jun 7 2024, 04:40:53 PM
How hard is it to win the Illinoise lottery? Wondering if I should buy a ticket or enter lottery. Wont be able to rush the day I am thinking about going.

Thanks!

Anyone happen to have an extra single ticket for Merrily next week?

Disappointing! Will keep an eye on all the last minute ticket sights. Thanks everyone!

Yes, I understand, we just didn't expect such a huge leap in pricing and so suddenly.

Thank you! I was in NY two weeks ago, had I know tickets could jump so dramatically, I would have gotten her a ticket. So disappointing, its getting harder and harder for regular people to afford a ticket.

I know, long shot. My daughter is going to be in NY next week to see shows, she had trouble processing her single ticket ($89) for Merrily over the weekend and when she tried again, suddenly the lowest ticket price is $300! There is no way she will be able to see it at that price and I am afraid I can't afford to help. An old friend from when they were in theatre camp is in the ensemble and she was really looking forward to seeing him. If anyone happens to have one extra, (at the prices bef
Rush Advise for Tomorrow
 May 17 2024, 05:07:32 PM
My daughter and I are going to rush tomorrow. We'd like to try for Suffs evening and one other. For Suffs, what time would you suggest to have a really good chance of getting them? For the other, which shows are "not to be missed" that have an in person rush (and what time is best to get there for best chance)? We're into musicals primarily, maybe Water for Elephants, Notebook, Gatsby (have tix f

My daughter is 23, would that mean we would rush in person for Mary Jane & Mother Play?

Thanks so much, I will definitely keep an eye out!

Planning out my trip in a couple weeks and will be rushing for most shows. For those who have rushed the following shows, were the seats too obstructed, would you do it again? Are there any cheap (cheaper) ways to see Cabaret since I know the likelihood of winning the digital lottery is pretty bad.

I have read and hear that I should try to get tickets in the orchestra for this show. I see that there are some $63 tickets in the orchestra row K & L, seats 9-11. It says they are also partially obstructed. Has anyone sat there and can tell me how obstructed they are?

Another "what should I see" post :)

Haha, just heard. Thanks for the laugh.

My daughter (23) and I will be in town 17-26th and haven't been back for a few years. We will fill our days with shows and want to make sure to have the best shot of picking great ones. We usually focus on Broadway but would also love Off-Broadway suggestions. Musicals are our favorite but we could throw in a couple straight plays.

Thank you Secret Santa!!! Merrily ticket :)
 Nov 24 2023, 01:11:17 PM

My daughter, broke grad student, spent time with family in NYC and really wanted to see Merrily. We watched the online tickets, hoping they would go down as it got closer to showtime.

While standing in front of the theatre refreshing her app over and over, a kind person handed her a ticket and said Happy Holidays. I'm blown away and she is thrilled. If you are out there, thank you so much, you have made her day, her week, her year!

Happy Holidays everyone!!!
