Interesting....and thanks.
10 most important American plays?
 Dec 2 2009, 02:33:21 PM
My professor sent us an email.

Taking a survey for upcoming story. Open to everyone. Would like as many people to respond as possible.

THE TOPIC: Rank the 10 most important AMERICAN plays anyone who cares about theater should have read or seen. No other criterion. This is your personal list. It's subjective. No right or wrong answers. Please submit them in order of most important first, 1 through 10. Musicals are not eligible unless you think the book warrants it on it

I actually liked it better with a male Gary.

I actually liked Brand's bit.
re: anyone else using the $25 seats for Jude's HAMLET?
 Aug 20 2009, 06:54:04 PM
Got two of them for the 23rd.
re: Who bought their tickets for HAMLET??
 Jul 18 2009, 02:39:00 PM
I'm thinking about it..

frapperia, did you use a site to buy your ticket? I can't seem to find any tickets less than 100...maybe I missed the boat on the cheap tickets.

I have some friends there...cool.
re: Whatever happened to Martin Short?
 Jun 29 2009, 10:39:11 PM
I'm pretty sure he was on one of the late night talk shows sometime last week...don't know what for. At least I think it was him.
re: The gay connection to theater?
 Jun 29 2009, 10:37:36 PM
At my high school, it wasn't a big deal if the straight (as far as I knew) jocks did theatre. Though if you weren't masculine and were a boy, you probably did get made fun of a little bit.
re: Why Aren't Plays More Represented At The Tonys?
 Jun 9 2009, 08:36:25 PM
I've been wondering that. I certainly wouldn't mind them performing scenes or something.
re: N2N cast signing Barnes and Nobel 5/12

I'll probably be there around 3:30.
re: Josh Groban in Chess. What do you think?
 Apr 22 2009, 08:06:39 PM
I find the acting comments interesting since he went to Interlochen and got into Carnegie Mellon. Shrug.
re: Anyone see Blue Man Group before?
 Apr 18 2009, 10:35:50 PM
I went in barely knowing anything about them. I only went because we were offered comp tickets and I thought, 'why not.' For me, it was a pretty cool experience.

Jersey Boys, Gypsy, or ITH?
 Dec 24 2008, 11:27:59 AM
I'm still working on getting a Christmas gift for my Mom...she's been wanting to watch Jersey Boys for a while, but I know she hates the mezz, as do I, and the prices are a little bit out of my budget. Does anyone know how the current cast is?
I've also been thinking about Gypsy or ITH. She's also interested in watching Gyspy, but I was thinking that she might maybe enjoy ITH more because it seems like a feel-good show. Also I have discount codes for both shows. So which do you think i

Found some 'old' South Pacific sheet music
 Dec 14 2008, 02:50:38 PM
So I found a copy of Some Enchanted Evening in my piano things and someone wrote in pen "W.J.C. 12/30/49"

I feel kind of dumb for asking this, but what are the chances that it really is that old? It's pretty faded and I know that '49 is the year that it opened. Is it even a big deal? Don't mind me, I just like collecting things, especially old things so I thought it was interesting.

re: Silly Line Delivery On Cast Recordings

Yeah the lines on the SA recording are strange. And I agree, Len Cariou's "...my arm is complete again" is kind of blah.
