Just FYI - It was later found out that Patti LuPone did NOT actually lash out at the audience member...that too, was made up.
Additionally, it's a little far fetched that someone would walk into the theatre with the rainbow marquee, judy garland slippers and tag line "come out come out whatever you are," buy a ticket, sit through even a portion of the performance and THEN realize it was about gay people and shout something and leave? Really?

Wow, another person "no longer with the show?" to quote a movie you may be familiar with, "People come and go so quickly here." So Dr. John...can you maybe help us unravel the mysteries of the made up anti-gay slur press releases and the made-up director?

No nudity, but some pretty inappropriate "moments" which might cause even me to scream profanities and walk out of the theatre. And on top of that, the producers make up stories about anti-gay vandalism and slurs being shouted to get a little publicity -- it's rather deplorable.
All that on top of having an imaginary director listed in the program makes for a lovely evening in the theatre...all kinds of fun.

Wouldn't it be smarter perhaps and maybe even easier to just take the damn shoes off the marquee and just have the yellow brick road or something?

Ok...HATES to bring this back up but walking by last night, I couldn't help but notice that the slippers are now SILVER!!!
So from what I've heard, they went from Red, to Green, back to Red and now they are Silver. All kinda brilliant.

I know this came up earlier, but how come the ruby slippers are still promoting the show on the website?
Additionally, did anyone get permission to use Judy's recordings that are all over the site? Usually when they do it correctly, they have to print something saying "Used with special permission from..." But I don't see that on the site.
Seems like the producers haven't really crossed all their T's and dotted their I's.
I certainly hope there's no one out there that

SO many people joining the board just to post about this "hot mess" of a show. People are all either haters or lovers...ain't nothin in between. Which says to me they are either the producers or people who've had to deal with the producers.
Oh...and in case anyone was wondering...the cast is Non-Equity. Flame away kids.

Totally agree with Sueleen...
This is a chat board where as you even say, people are pricks about shows. If you don't want people's honest opinions about a show that sucks serious a**, then don't come here looking for it...or better yet, don't produce it!

Oy. Whoever said this is a wonderfully written and acted play either wrote it and acts in it or has never seen it.
This is one of the biggest pieces of crap I've ever seen...and I saw Scott Allan's "Piece" reading so that's saying something.
It's just a vehicle for a fourth rate drag queen to mug to the audience. The only reason you even know she's portraying Judy Garland is because they say so.
It should never have left the duplex with it's cliche topic and overact
