1984 - Audience Experiences
 Jul 18 2017, 08:35:21 PM

At the performance I attended (I can look for the exact date later on my ticket) a woman did yell out from the back of the Dress Circle.

O'Brien (Reed Birney) asks Winston (Tom Sturridge) something along the lines of "What does the future look like?" And the woman shouted "The future is in Women!" Reed paused for a second and let her continue, which she did for about another comment or so, and then he asked "Where do you think you are?" and went

Broadway Trivia @ 54 Below

Hey guys!

Just wondering if anyone has attended this event in the past? Obviously it changes each time, but would you say it's worth it? Some friends and I are interested in attending.

Not that it matters (but it could sweeten the pot...), but are the prizes interesting too?

Thanks!

2017 Shakespeare in the Park

I've yet to see this production, but I plan on doing so later this week. Many friends, along with the reviews on here, have shared their opinions and I just feel as if the whole thing feels supremely lazy.

Ultimately, it's a safe choice. I feel as though Eustis felt that people would eat it up. Let's be honest, crapping on 45 is the in thing at the moment, especially in the younger, social media educated generation. Perhaps Eustis thought people wouldn't speak out again

College Student on Broadway
 Jun 26 2016, 07:31:26 PM

Hello!

My friend's son has been auditioning around town frequently this past year. He was a senior in High School when he began this process. However, he never got any callbacks or offers for advancement, until two weeks ago. Now of course I won't divulge secrets or anything, but it is an interesting opportunity for all involved.

However, his parents, while being supportive, are persistent (and rightfully so) that he continues his studies, especially in case he nee

Who will take the music box?

Well that didn't take long... but I'll bite. wink

From what I saw Berkeley, Amèlie could be VERY comfortable in this theatre. I think it's a charming show and would fit very well.

Perhaps a nice fall offering could fill in the gap? Richard III?

"Dead Poets Society" @ CSC
 Jun 20 2016, 10:47:00 PM

Hey guys! During conversation, a friend casually mentioned that this would be off-Broadway in the fall/winter. I wasn't aware of this and was curious if anyone knew anything more about this production (in terms of casting and whatnot)? I'm surprised by the lack of discussion when this was first announced!

I did a search and noticed it wasn't discussed on this board. It seems to be very low key, which is surprising considering the movie has become a classic in its way.

I provided a link below detailing this production!

HADESTOWN Rush (NYTW Rush)
 May 22 2016, 09:13:47 PM

Hello!

Does anyone know if the theatre offers rush tickets to this show? I know they didn't offer for the past two shows (or when I inquired at least...), but they still have rush info on their website.

If they do offer them, is this a tough show to rush? Any help is appreciated. Thanks!

PThespian thank you so much for the information and corresponding link!

My sister and I truly appreciate all the above responses!

I believe she does own a small telescope of sorts. However, she did comment how it heavily obstructed her view and was often frustrating.
Unfortunately, I believe the binoculars might make things worse in this case.

 Thank you for the suggestion!

Thank you so much for these responses! I am very relieved.

I will report back on the show. I was blown away earlier this season with "A View from the Bridge", so I am expecting a lot from Hove once again!

Thank you for the response! I'm relieved that our seats should be good enough as they are.

I'll be sure to get there as early as I can.

Hello! I've been a long time reader and finally have a question that is worth posting on here.

Tomorrow night I will be seeing "The Crucible" along with my sister. My sister is legally blind. While she can see things at a certain, extremely close, proximity, she often loses the picture and focus once she is a certain distance.
In order for her to enjoy the experience, (It is one of her favorite dramas!) I purchased third row center seats. However, I have n
