I could see Hailee Steinfeld (which the Culturalist "author" spells "Seinfeld" as Wendla.

Singing aside (some of those actors I genuinely don't know if they are singers), I actually think it's not too bad a cast.

I have a feeling this film adaptation if it ever happens, will be an indie effort  like the last five years. 

Also I hope they consider casting austin mckenzie as Melchior for the film. He reads young for his age and we all know how wonderful his Melchior was on stage
