 Jul 25 2010, 06:38:36 PM
We need to see us some Rachel Stern. She was so awesome in Shrek. I'd love to see her in something new.

Oh my, Rachel Stern, in Shrek, just blows me away. I wish I could sing like she does.

How about White Boys, from Hair?

Don't listen to the naysayers, Shrek is a hoot, and a terrific evening of theatre. You won't be sorry if you go.

OK, so I guess it's just I that find him creepy.

Run for your wife, and Noises Off, come to mind.

Actually, Shrek is up a tad from last week.
re: Where's Humpty Dumpty?????

No, I'd heard she's something called a sprite, not an imp. Must be two different characters.

Oh, I'm guessing this is the same Rachel Stern from High Fidelity? She was terrific in that show. Such a shame it closed so quickly. I think she's a real talent.

Mr. Roxy, that was an eggcellent eggsplanation.
Where's Humpty Dumpty?????

Just saw Shrek, again, and NO Humpty Dumpty... Does anyone know what happened?
re: Shrek the musical not good?
 Jul 21 2009, 09:59:18 AM
I've seen the movie, and believe me, the show is way better. I just can't get over the Shrek hate here. I've seen the show four times, now, and I get something new from it each time. Of course it's not the best show ever; but it certainly has some lovely moments; and the score is far above some of the others I seen.
Nine to five being an instance. There is humor for both the young and the not so young. It's a fun way to spend a few hours.

re: 'Ugly Betty' to have a musical episode this season

Does anyone remember when they did an entire musical episode on Buffy the Vampire Slayer? I think it would be terrific to do the same on Ugly Betty.

Huge fan of Will. I think he'll be absolutely terrific in the role

Even though I'm bleeding from my eyes, regarding your spelling and grammar, I won't admonish you. I would say a lot depends on your age, and where your interests lie. They are all fine choices, but I guess everyone knows, here, that I'm a huge Shrek fan. If that's not to your liking, any of the other picks are just terrific.
re: Shrek, Billy Elliot or 39 Steps
 Jun 22 2009, 08:17:19 PM
Having seen all three, I'd go with Shrek. I found Billy very over-rated. Didn't like the score at all. 39 Steps is just ok, Shrek really gives you an evening of entertainment. The cast is just so terrific.

Well I'm obviously not alone in this: Spring Awakening
re: Okay, whats the greatest performance you've ever seen on stage?

70+ Definitely Streisand in Funny Girl
James Earl Jones in Great White Hope
