In 1996 at Signature's old garage, Eric Schaeffer directed Lewis Cleale, Anne Kanengeiser and April Harr Blandin in a beautifully sung, unforgettable production.

Over the next 3 weeks, Donna Migliaccio is playing Abby in "The Musical of Musicals: The Musical!" at the intimate MetroStage (Alexandria VA) before leaving to play Emma Goldman in "Ragtime".

I am looking forward to seeing Donna again in both roles.

Without a doubt, "Ragtime" at the KC packs a big theater going wallop for many including myself. Bringing the characters front and center has given them immediate entry to my heart. Without exception the actors take the opening and soar.

For instance, I adore Marin Mazzie's performance of Mother's songs, but Christiane Noll 'is' Mother at the KC. Mother becomes a new person through the course

Schmerg...., I absolutely agree with your description of the incredibly fine cast of "Ragtime". But oh, you did make me laugh when you asked about DC's lovely Donna Migliaccio. Yes, the lisp does belongs to Donna. I first saw Donna in 1992 as Sarah Jane Moore in "Assassins". Over the years she has played many roles around DC including Rose in "Gypsy" at Signature. About 2 years ago Donna performed at Metro Stage in "The Musical of Musical (The Musical)". Of course she did the star turn in
