BOOTH USHER w/ VIRUS Mar 13
2020, 12:48:54 AM
I was in the mezzanine at the booth last Thursday. I called 311 to report it and they told me that I couldn’t do anything until I had symptoms and then I should call my healthcare provider.

This is not accurate. A "plan" has been announced/made publicregarding individual schools with confirmed cases.
You can be sure than "plans" to close across the board are in the works and/or exist.
This story is still literally developing by the hour."

Broadway to Close? Mar 12

I think there's also the idea that if we close now it may be short term if the virus can be controlled. If they wait too long, closings might have to be much longer. I feel the same way about school closing.

Everyone on the planet should be concerned, regardless if they were at the Booth on Saturday night or not."
Yes of course. I just meant should I be thinking about getting tested since I was at that theater and was sitting the mezzanine that night."
I'm right there with yo

I know for a fact that the usher in question worked your section AND licked your Playbill!"
Rudeness like that is uncalled for. I am genuinely concerned if in fact I did come into contact with this person.

Did Michael Bennett have issues with the creative team on Company and/or Dream Girls? I feel like I remember hearing that.

Collaborators who didn't get along Jan 9

I am currently choreographing a production of The Wizard of Oz and after a few spats among the creative team, I began wondering if there are any famous examples of feuds or bad blood between collaborators in musical theatre history. I know about Patti LuPone's issues with Webber and such but I'm wondering more specifically about choreographers arguing with directors, etc.

Kristin Chenoweth discount? Oct 19
2019, 01:08:47 AM
I'm not sure if this is technically a discount but the last time she did a Broadway run (3 years ago?) there were tickets on TodayTix beginning in the $50-60 range.

"Best" is certainly a relative term, but I am partial to the vocal stylings of Jason Robert Brown.

Bad Theater Behavior Mar 1
2018, 10:52:18 AM
I saw Frozen last night and wild behavior from kids would have been expected, but the atrocious behavior I witnessed was from a middle aged woman. She sat directly in front of me and was told not once, but 6 times by ushers to stop taking pictures. She was even removed temporarily during act I to delete the photos. It continued during act II and when she wasn't taking photos, she was checking texts and facebook. When I asked her to please put it away because it was distracting me, she rep

Were there any major technical glitches or stoppages last night? I usually hesitate to go early in previews for those reasons, but I'm looking to buy a resale ticket for tonight.

Dear Evan Hansen Standing Room Mar 9

I decided to wait it out last night with Stubhub. Prices started dropping around 6:45 for an 8:00 show. I finally purchased a single ticket around 7:40. It was originally marked at $250 on Stubhub and I paid $125 with fees. It was second row orchestra and the face value was $189. Stubhub is a decent option if you can be in midtown about an hour before curtain.

SUNSET BOULEVARD Previews Feb 6
2017, 10:24:59 PM
I saw the Saturday night performances and it was my first real experience with the show. I can't help but think this piece must have inspired Ryan Murphy for AHS: Hotel. Lady Gaga's character reminds me so much of Norma and that eerie quality of the house as well. I would love to see Lady gaga play Norma Desmond in about 20 years.
