It's almost here!! Previews for the fourth Broadway revival of Hello, Dolly! begin this Wednesday, March 15 at the Shubert Theatre. Directed by Jerry Zaks and starring the iconic Bette Midler as Dolly Gallagher Levi, this production (which is already near sold-out) is scheduled to officially open on April 20, 2017 for an open run.
Who's going?!
I have tickets for March 29th performance and I can't wait!!!
do you think there will be a rush lottery or general/student rush option?

The invited dress is supposed to be tomorrow, but I'm concerned for everyone about that happening with this impending storm.
Have they done any press events? Interviews or snippets from the show?

Seeing it the day after it opens, so looking forward to preview reports!
I'm attending the first preview this Wednesday night and I'll report my thoughts. Seeing it again a few more times in the next few months to see the evolution of the performances.

Since this is a Scott Rudin production, there won't be any of them.

Rudin sometimes does a Rush policy that is for Previews only. In the past, has the Schubert ever done standing room?
I'm seeing the first preview on Wednesday!! Will report back :)

I'll be Front Row Center Balcony on Wednesday Night and can't wait! No snow will stop me from this night!

Yes, the Shubert has standing room spaces and have sold them, including recently for Matilda. Whether they will for Dolly remains to be seen, but for sold out perfs it seems likely, although perhaps not during previews...

Come hell or high water I will be there Wednesday night. Nothing will keep me away from the Harmonica Gardens!

I'm not. It doesn't grow well on my lawn.
The Shubert does indeed have SRO. It was sold frequently during SPAMALOT's first 2 years and the few occasions MEMPHIS was sold-out.
This better be good. I'm paying an arm and a leg to see this in May.

if anyone sits in the Balcony (row E specifically) please let me know how the view is... I have to wait 30 days to see this show
I do still find it odd that their website is still pretty bare. No cast, no extra info. Just basically Midler's name and where to buy tickets.

Right? Like, at least give us a Cast Bios page.
I do hope standing room is offered for this- it was available for The Humans and The Front Page, which were both Rudin productions, and I can't see why they wouldn't try to sell more tickets. I'm not a big enough Dolly or Midler fan to justify paying nearly $80 for the balcony, but I'd happily stand through the show if that ticket were less expensive. It feels like the event of the season.

Just when I thought I couldn't get more excited, I see that picture!
She. Looks. PERFECT! I can't wait to hear reports. Excited for Baldwin & Creel as well.
I believe this is the first image to come out of this production. https://instagram.com/p/BRoeDBxluep/
