N2N seating question Jan 7 2010, 01:36:31 AM
The front row of the mezzanine is great for N2N since you get a nice view of the whole set. I also think center orchestra on the aisle in the row right where the split starts (not sure of the row) would be great as well.

AMERICAN IDIOT Moves To Broadway; Opens at St. James Theatre April 20, 2010 Jan 5 2010, 04:12:54 PM
I really, really want to see this, and I'm going to start planning my trip out now. Is there any reason to wait for the official opening on this one? I've never been to a show during previews, but this seems like a decent one to see under previews.

re: Kenny Ortega hits 'Heights' Dec 17 2009, 07:39:02 PM
I think we are all passing over the probable choice (although not my choice) for Nina given that Kenny Ortega is the director: Vanessa Hudgens. This might help them sell the younger crowd on the movie version as well. Arielle Jacobs who plays Nina in the tour cast also starred as High School Musical's Gabriella in the stage tour so it makes some sort of twisted sense to go with the original HSM's Gabriella for the part of Nina with Kenny directing.

re: In the Heights Tour Dec 7 2009, 01:09:08 AM
I saw this tour in Columbus on Thanksgiving night which was really odd since the theater was only about 1/3 full at most. I'm surprised they even did a show that night, but they did, and there were no understudies. I liked certain numbers in the show, but I felt it was a bit uneven overall. I've never seen it on Broadway, so I can't compare it. I agree that Benny and Nina are the standouts by far. I also enjoyed the Piragua guy who made the most of his smallish part.
