Arg, I’m so mad I missed out on the Phantom closing medallion - I was at that table and scored some cute Great Comet playbill earrings and an Oh Mary annotated script, but even before 10 it was a few people deep around the whole table, and I couldn’t move around much. I’m torn every year trying to be there early to get good finds and wishing I waited until later because the pushing and rudeness has been getting worse and worse.

As with most first previews, some of the pacing needs to be adjusted (but the drag was also in part due to a mid-song pause for a tech issue), but wowza was this heartfelt and emotional. Ooof that’s quite an awful reaction. Of course I’d be disappointed (and will be if they cancel tonight), but I generally would prefer actors take care of themselves and their health. Random things happen and the understudy definitely deserves respect. Didn’t we just go over this during Covid??

A friend of mine just went last week and got a $79 partial view when the box office opened at 10am. Standing room can be a bit trickier, since they WILL wait until the show is fully sold out. If that hasn't happened, I've had luck about an hour before curtain (monitoring available seats though, as I sometimes work in the area).
