I dunno. The problem is that Heathers is SUCH a good film where as Jawbreaker can obviously be improved upon. (for the record, its been a long time since I've seen jb). I can see pros and cons to each. I went to the heathers joes pub concert too and wasn't as ipressed. It sounded like Bat Boy meets Legally Blonde and I didn't care for either of those scores. Jb is on soundcloud if you search for it. Much more my personal taste as it has a current pop sound. Heathers sounds like crappy musical...

Anyone see this at NYMF? I thought it was quite good and apparently it's even better now. I hope this comes to the east coast. Anyone see it in Seattle that can post about it?

I was there! Reviews shouldn't really apply to this as it's billed a "workshop production". The director came out before the show and mentioned that it was a staged presentation of the "second draft". I actually really enjoyed myself. Its a completely original story though influenced a TON by Wizard of Oz, Neil Gaiman and that movie Spirited Away, but with its own twists and turns. (i don't want to give anything away...) I don't understand what everyone's problem is... a good story is a good story. Not that ALL movies work as musicals, but some work better as musicals than they did as films. In that case, I say, bring em in! :)

Isn't Josh Young a baritone? His voice is too legit for Judas... I want Bryce Ryness in that role. He has powerhouse vocals!
