re: Bad usher/ theatre employee stories?
FYI, usually, the ushers are told by the producers, house managers, when to do the late sitting. They pick the appropriate time.
re: Tipping ushers at Broadway theaters?
Ushers are not supposed to find you better seats without Management's approval. No one is obligated to tip anything or anyone anywhere. But it is nice.
