Whew! Glad to know that Gold Derby article ended up being correct after all. I think it's safe to say that 5th spot is between Be More Chill, Beetlejuice, and The Cher Show.

There will be 5 nominees for Best Musical, so prepare for that. If there are 9 eligible contenders, then there will be 5 nominees, including the design categories through to Best Score and Best Book. This is a carry-over rule from last year that has just recently been confirmed for this season.

How much of a chance is there that Beetlejuice ends up being far better than it was in DC and ends up a major contender? Is that a possibility?

Need some guidance in narrowing down some of these musical categories. Not sure who will end up in certain placements and I know I'm missing a ton of names, but maybe you all can help me out here -
Best Featured Actor in a Musical
Patrick Page, Hadestown (LOCK, winner)
Christopher Sieber, The Prom (LOCK)
George Salazar, Be More Chill

Could Ashley Park end up our eventual winner? With 2 great performances in 1 season, she really has the right momentum for this kind of thing. She is the most stable thing about all of the precursor awards.

CATSNYrevival said: "Any news on this? No Broadway producers wanted to take a chance on it this season?"
Right!? Imagine if this was revived this season... it would have been a major contender across the board. I'm surprised no one saw what a great opportunity it would have been, especially with the climate of this past year.
Here's hoping someone catches on and produces it soon!

If you could revive any Broadway flop? Apr 5 2018, 09:59:06 PM
I'm surprised that the future of that production of RAGS at Papermill not that long ago hasn't been more taken care of. The story is incredibly topical and a B'way revival would make total sense. Stephen Schwartz is practically a household name now, too. Did anyone else see it? I thought it was a terrific production with a great cast... I'm shocked it's not being more talked about for a home on the Great White Way.
