I don't really care about Alice Ripley's speech, it's great that she's passionate about what she does and it gave us a great opportunity to see an emotion on Sutton Foster's face besides "Happy! I'm quite certain that the audience got a taste of theatre history tonight, this is the epitome of Patti's career. I thought most of the cast was wonderful. Leigh Anne Larkin was an absolutely delicious Baby June, she nailed all of her lines and her voice was in tip-top shape. I just wish that they would have both Junes En Pointe or in flat shoes, instead of one (in this case Baby June) en pointe and one in flats (Dainty June). Aside from some spacing issues I thought Patti Murrin did a wonderful job Sunday, she managed to make a Carol Brady-esque wig look good!

I thought Davis gave a very solid performance when I saw the show last Tuesday and his voice sounded wonderful and contrasted very well with Gemignani's during the confrontations. Mackintosh is crazy.
