was wondering how this thread came back again
sad I missed seeing it.

I think it was just too small for broadway and lacked major star power. (not to knock the two, especially the versatile Chase)

In seriousness, Go for Catch Me.
It's new..fresh.. and will be hit or miss.
I tend to put revivals on the back burner...

At intermission, the ladies behind me (who hated it) were discussing which character they were most emphatic towards.

It's a toss up for me.
The mother who tries to buy her children's love and just wants to be loved herself, or at least made to feel like she is worth something.

Or the son who has made some bad choices and makes an innocent stop at home, despite bad blood, before attempting a new future.

The direction and acting were quite wonderful.
It was all a bit over the top and melodramatic/unrealistic for me.

But it stuck with me and made me think.
I think it can be improved, considerably. (heard it was 4 hours at one point, wow!)

I left liking it..with reservations.

The whole thing is unintentionaly hilarious.

Carney tweeted today that he needed a nap. Guess it's getting to him?

He left off in the story where the girl told him they were working things out, and he was sitting in the car.

Guess I snoozed through it.

What did you think of the show?

I've never liked a Gabe since Tveit.
His singing wasn't spectacular.. but his acting was fierce.
I was terrified of what Gabe was going to do to this family by the end... it haunted me.

The others have played it too cutesy and sexy for me.
Kyle Dean's voice gets on my nerves. Though, I know him to be a really sweet guy.

Foster is cutesy and fun. Her voice gets on my nerves.
Can't speak for Burton, yet.
I imagine she is better, though.

I thought the show was mindless fun. Brilliant to look at and some catchy/some forgettable music.

Very mixed and disturbed.
Flawed play, but somehow liked it.
