• there is magic in the air, that's what musical theater is supposed to be about

• Gerard Canonico is. not getting enough acclaim for his performance

 

• excellent evening at the theater... electric show

• Adam Driver delivers a tour de force

• Keri delivers lumber... i am excited to see the show when her understudy is on

 

• NYCblurb = "the pot" calling "the shill" black

• the show is, at best, mediocre

• obsessed musical theater queens/fans like it because "they made "Tootsie" a musical!", that's enough for them

 

• Woman makes joke about being almost 30

• People get dramatically sentimental when someone twists their ankle

• Everyone dresses in glittery matching outfits... with hats

 

• Looks and feels like a third-rate touring company production

• Songs are not memorable or enjoyable

• Book is funny... but completely void of all the movie's heart and wit
